Research and Development Cell at GNA University conducted one week Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology. The main objective behind this FDP was to make all the basic concepts pertaining to research clear to the research scholars and faculty members.
The eminent speakers of this faculty development programme addressed various aspects related to Fundamentals of Research writing, Process of setting the Objectives, Introduction to Review of Literature, Searching and writing a quality Literature, Identification of research gaps & Theory Building using Literature Review, searching the relevant database, journal and literature. Introduction and Use of Mendeley for Referencing, Bibliography generation from Mendeley, Importing and Exporting references, Correlation and Regression, Hypothesis Formulation, Concept and types of Hypothesis, Hypothesis Procedure ,One-tailed and Two-Tailed Tests, Type-I and Type-II Error along with the Practice Sessions.
Dr.NeerajPuri, Dean, Research & Development welcomed the participants and shared the importance of this programme. During the Inaugural Ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. VK Rattan while addressing the participants said that such programmes help in creating and sustaining a culture of research excellence and advances new initiatives in research. He stressed on professional development by supporting the research goals of individual faculty members.
