GNA University organized Yoga activities at its campus. Around 100 GNA’S NSS Volunteers, hostel students and faculty members participated in the yoga day full of activities with an objective to follow the daily regime of healthy and fit body under the stewardship of Mr. Gurmeet Singh, the NSS coordinator.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. VK Rattan, Vice Chancellor, GNA University said, “India is the home of Yoga where it was practiced over centuries. He urged students and faculty to make the practice of Yoga an integral part of their life as it provides mental and physical strength. He expressed his happiness to see that the employees of GNA University have participated enthusiastically to remember the International Yoga Day with full fervour.”

The morning yoga session was followed by a Workshop on “Yoga for Happiness @ Workplace” led by Mr. Sumit Mahajhan, Faculty art of Living. Dr. Disha Khanna, Dean Students’ Welfare threw light upon staying healthy as a consistent act that keeps our mind, body and soul in balance.

Mr. Sumit Mahajhan enthralled the gathering of faculty members and students with practical meditative techniques and office yoga asanas for a vibrant living.

S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Chancellor, GNA University conveyed his best wishes to all on the International Yoga Day and congratulated the NSS Division of GNA University to celebrate the day with full vigour and enthusiasm. He also stressed, “Yoga postures and exercises are very important for all of us in this hectic world to reduce stress and maintain mind and body balance.”

Promoting the International Yoga Day, Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics,GNA University congratulated all the participants and urged the others to follow beneficial Yoga practices as a part of their daily regime. She said, “Yoga exercises are the useful tools to provide cheerfulness and peace from within.”
