GNA University keeping its vision to provide the industrial ready engineers has established a MQC Lab in University campus by Accurate, Pune. Accurate was established in 1963 and is first Indian measurement equipment manufacturing company. Accurate holds 55 years of  experience in providing comprehensive range of 3D CMM, Measuring instruments, custom gauging and measuring services to the Indian industries, as well as in exporting to more than 27 countries across the globe. Accurate is continuously working with Education sector to bridge the gap between academia and industry by establishing MQC labs and also providing hands on training to students, faculty and industry people. Accurate is working with various global automobile MNC’s, railways, aircraft industry etc.

The MQC lab established at GNA University includes all the basic to the latest measuring equipment as per the current trends in global industry. The lab includes the instruments like range of vernier calipers & micrometers, radius gauge, filler gauge, depth vernier calipers, digital height gauge, surface plate, CMM etc.

The inauguration of the lab was done by S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra (Pro-Chancellor, GNA University & CEO – GNA Gears Ltd.) in the august presence of Dr.   V. K. Rattan, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Raj Kumar Mahajan, Registrar, Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics and Prof. C. R. Tripathy Dean Faculty of Engineering, Design and Automation and other dignitaries.

Mr. G. S. Thakoor, Assistant Manager and Head (Educational Cell) Accurate, provided the overview of the MQC lab and the various equipment installed in the lab. Prof. Tripathy showcased the various advanced digital designing and manufacturing labs established in the GNA University for Mechanical and Automation Engineering and Robotics and Automation Engineering to Mr. G. S. Thakoor. After visiting the various labs, Mr. Thakoor appreciated the University for providing the advanced knowledge to the students through these labs. He also emphasized that the MQC lab will run in integration with the already existing digital labs in the University.

Mr. C.R. Tripathy, Dean – Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation acknowledged S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra for extending his eternal help and motivation for establishing this advanced lab in the University.

In the closing note, Dr. V.K. Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, GNA University congratulated the Faculty of Engineering, Design and Automation for their never-ending efforts in bringing the new technologies to the University leading to the improvement in the skill of the students in grabbing the opportunities available in the modern industrial & corporate world.
