Phagwara, February 19, 2025 –The School of Hospitality, GNA University, proudly organized an exquisite culinary event, HimachaliDham, providing students and faculty members with a delightful opportunity to immerse themselves in the traditional flavors of Himachal Pradesh. The event, themed PahadonKaSwad, ParamparaKeSaath, was a celebration of Himachal’s rich gastronomic heritage and a tribute to its deep-rooted culinary traditions.This initiative, conceptualized and executed by the School of Hospitality, was strongly supported by the university’s management, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to experiential learning and cultural appreciation. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of S. Gurdeep Singh Seehra, Chancellor of GNA University, alongside other distinguished dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) Hemant Sharma, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean of Academics; and Dr. Deepak Kumar. The dignitaries commended the dedicated efforts of the organizing team and the students for successfully orchestrating an event that beautifully encapsulated the authentic flavors and traditions of Himachal Pradesh.

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of 150 faculty members and 250 students, all of whom relished the specially curated seven-course meal, designed to showcase the authentic essence of Himachali cuisine. The meticulously prepared dishes included Bhatt, SepuVadiMadra, Maah Rajma, ChaneKaKhatta, TeliyaMaah, KadhiPakoda, Chana Dal, and a delectable sweet dish, Meetha. The guests were treated to a truly immersive experience, as they indulged in these delicacies prepared with traditional recipes and techniques, ensuring authenticity in taste and presentation.
