GNA University under the banner of GU – IIC & School of Natural Sciences celebrated World Intellectual Property Day. In the event, an expert talk by Dr. Vinita Khanna, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, GNDU Regional Campus, Jalandhar was delivered. The objective behind the session was to get apprised about the various types of Intellectual property rights.
The resource person explained the basics of IPR and different types of Intellectual property – Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, Design Layouts as well as the scope as IPR Manager in the industry as a profession. A total of 85 students & 10 faculty members participated in the seminar. At the end, vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Yogesh Bhalla, HOD of School of Natural Sciences.
The students had a great learning experience. The lecture helped them in understanding purpose and benefits of Intellectual property Rights. The resource person gave a detailed understanding of all the different rights in which the students and faculty can apply and take benefits.
