The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at GNA University organized a 6th GU Sports Meet (M/W) 2022 for two days. The commencement of the Sports Meet was done by the gracious presence of the chief guest Dr VK Rattan, the Vice- Chancellorof GNA University with a sole objective for bringing holistic development among the University students, staff and faculty.

In total 400 students from various faculties of the University participated in the sports meet which was organized by the students of FPES as a project. After the rigorous 2 day sports meet, the final results of overall events are reflected as follows:

I- The Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation had secured I Position from over all events (Track & Field and Sports also)

II- The Faculty of Computational Sciences had secured II Position from over all events (Track & Field and Sports also)

The best Men’s Athlete award was secured by Gurinder Singh, the student of Faculty of Hospitality and the best athlete award was bagged by Aditi, the student of Faculty of Computational Sciences.

 The 6th GU Sports Meet (M/W) 2022 days culminated with the Closing ceremony held in the august presence of the chief guest Mr. Gurdev Singh Gill (Arjuna Awardee) and the Pro-Chancellorof GNA University, who appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports for organizing the 6th annual sports at a large scale for the upliftment of the youth in India.

Mr. Gurdev Singh Gill, the Chief guest commented, “It is such a pleasure to see the youth participating in such sports events.”

S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor remarked, “I appreciate the endeavours of team Physical Education & Sports in making this event a gala success.”

Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor said, “GNA University is always there for the all-round development of its students.”

Dr. Monika Hanspal expressed, “Despite the academics, the University always makes sincere efforts in bringing the holistic growth of its members.”

Dr. Mohd Salim Javed, Associate Professor, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports acknowledged the participation of all the sports persons.

Dr. Rajinder Kaur, HOD, Faculty of Physical Education & Sports expressed, “I am delighted to see the outstanding performance of all the GUites .”
