GNA University- Technology Business Incubator (GU-TBI) in association with Pushpa Gujral Science City and Startup Punjab, Mohali organized Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) for Schools. Students came to know about the various schemes available to start their ventures.
S. Paramjit Singh, Director RCED, Chandigarh was the expert speaker on EDP and he motivated the students to opt for Entrepreneurship as a Career. He also explains the various government schemes available for school students and women. He further added that GU-Technology Business Incubator (GU-TBI) along with RCED is ready to help any student who wants to start their business.
Dr. Neelima Jerath, Director General of Science City gave many instances of successful entrepreneurs who started their businesses at an early stage which motivated students to think about entrepreneurship. She also asked students to come up with any idea and jointly GU-TBI and Science City which can help them to start their business.
Dr. V.K. Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, GNA University, the Chief Guest of the event, ensured students provided all the necessary guidance to start their businesses through GNA University. He also encouraged students to take interest in activities related to science and technology, which may lead them to have innovative mindset.
Er. Kamaljeet Kainth, the Head Incubation Center, GU-TBI on this occasion expressed, “This is the most appropriate time for students to think deeper on their startups” as government organizations like Startup Punjab Mohali, is taking huge initiatives in the sector of Startups and Entrepreneurship. He also added that students’ inventions can be protected through Patents/Design Patents and GNA-IPR Cell facilitate the filling service to them.
