School of Hospitality at GNA University celebrated International Tourism Day with commitment to promote global awareness and cultural exchange. The theme of the event was “Tourism and Green Investment” and it highlighted the importance of tourism as a driver of economic growth, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.

International Tourism Day is observed worldwide on September 27 each year to promote the significance of tourism in fostering a better understanding among people, showcasing the rich diversity of cultures, and supporting local economies. GNA University took immense pride in commemorating this day by organizing a series of engaging and informative activities.

The event was a mix of Cultural Extravaganza. The students had an opportunity to experience differentcultures through dance performances and traditional music from various countries. There were many informative activities and competitionslike quiz,rangoli, poster making, travel reels and video blogs were held to educate students about the environmental and social impacts of tourism as well as the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

Mr. VinayMenon(CEO & Business head-Bout Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) was the guest of honour of the event. He shared his experiences and the latest trends in the tourism industry.

The Chancellor S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra expressed, “I am delighted to see the efforts put in by the School in organising events of international repute.”

Dr. Deepak, the Dean of School of Hospitality appreciated the efforts of the school in organising such days with importance so as to keep the students updated with things happening across the world.”

Among other dignitaries were also present the Vice-Chancellor Dr VK Rattan, the Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr.Hemant Sharma, the Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Monika Hanspal.
