GNA University, School of Hospitality (SOH) successfully attempted Asia Book of Records.
In this record attempt, ‘Maximum Flavours of Virgin Mojito were prepared in 45 minutes’ by a group of 30 students and faculty members of School of Hospitality. In this record event, 2100 varieties of different flavours of virgin Mojito were prepared.
The key objective behind establishing this record was to establish a benchmark and standard in the form of international record, motivate and connect the student with the industry experts and develop a global outreach. Dr. Sanjeev Sood, Principal, Dayanand Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar was adjudicator for Asia Book of Records for the event.
Asia Book of Records is a platform where the record holders of all major National ‘Book of Records’ including ‘India Book of Records’, ‘Vietnam Book of Records’, ‘Indo-China Book of Records’, ‘Laos Book of Records’ and ‘Nepal Book of Records’ meet to compare, compete and claim the title of ‘Asia Book of Records’ Holder. Today ‘Asia Book of Records’ is having a strong database of 40,000 entries
The event was inaugurated by Chairman of GNA group and well known social worker Mr. Gursaran Singh Sihra in the benign presence of S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, President GNA Gears, Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Hemant Sharma, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics, Dr. Deepak Kumar (Dean SOH) and other dignitaries’ and staff of the University.
S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra expressed, “I am mesmerised to witness the innovative genius of the students and faculty members in the preparation of such a huge variety of drink.” He also appreciated and congratulated the since efforts of the entire School of Hospitality for this record breaking experience.
