GNA University amidst the ongoing unprecedented times organized its 3 rd International Conference on
Hospitality and Tourism (ICOHOST 2020) “Hospitality and Tourism Industry: A Better Future for All “over
a virtual platform.
Industry and academia experts, delegates and research scholar from various countries participated in
the international conference all at one platform. Dr. Sudhir Andrews distinguished author and adjunct
Professor of Management with Auro University, Surat graced the occasion as a Chief Guest.
The 3 rd International Conference on Hospitality and Tourism (ICOHOST 2020) “Hospitality and Tourism
Industry: A Better Future for All “over the virtual platform was duly inaugurated by S. Gurdeep Singh
Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor. He expressed, “I am really happy the way the academicians across the globe
have shown their enthusiasm in being the part of the Conference.”
Dr. V.K. Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed the august gathering. He said, “It’s a great moment for
GNA University to hold the International conference in such an organized way despite the ongoing
pandemic.”
Key Note speakers Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Professor, Jammu University and Dr. Robert J. Thompson, The University of South Alabama, USA addressed the impact of COVID 19 and assured that
the people’s appetite to travel will be the key to recover the industry soon.
Chief Guest Dr. Sudhir Andrews emphasized on skill development through online platforms and
encouraged millennials to take up entrepreneurial ventures.
International Eminent Speaker Dr. Larry Yu. Professor of Hospitality Management, The George Washington University, USA and Dr. Macario G. Gayeta, Professor, University of the East Caloocan
Metro Manila, Philippines also shared their valuable thoughts on new emerging research areas in tourism and hospitality.
Industry Expert & Guest of Honour Chef Toshit Sharma, National Corporate Chef- India RATIONAL International India Private Limited threw light on various practical solutions that can be used by the
hospitality organizations to deal with new normal.
Academicians, Industry experts, Research Scholars and students from pan India contributed more than 50 research papers on varied subthemes of conference were presented in three virtual technical
sessions of the virtual conference.
