Red Cross Society and NSS Wing of GNA University in collaboration with Hindustan Welfare Blood Donors Club, Phagwara organized World Health Day at its campus. The main objective behind this session was to inculcate spirit of humanitarianism and to ensure respect for human life.

Dr. Shaina Verma, Senior State Training Supervisor, Punjab State Branch & Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, was the resource person of the day. She emphasized that health should be the priority of youth for excelling in all the arenas of life. She explained the basic first aid techniques to students during critical situation of life. The session was a fruitful one where in students were enthusiastic about learning techniques and used hands on practice in front of her on CPR and recovery techniques.

S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University expressed, “I appreciate the endeavours of the team for organising such an essential session for the budding youth.”

Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, GNA University said, “The University is always ready to offer the best to students in all spheres of life. As youth is future of a nation so preparing them for any sort of disaster management will be beneficial for the society.”
