GNA University organized a One Week FDP on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) divided into two technical sessions. The FDP was virtually organized on the online virtual platform Blackboard and was open to all academicians and research scholars to attend with a clear objective to acquaint the basic knowledge and application of SEM by using Smart PLS and AMOS. Also, it aimed at making the participants familiar with this software and giving them hands on practice on the same so as to facilitate an ease of usage in the future research.
Dr. Gurjeet Kaur, Professor, Department of Commerce, University of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir and Dr. Dheeraj Nim, Professor & Head, Oriental School of Business Management and Commerce, Oriental University, Indore were the resource persons for the FDP.
The FDP commenced with the Welcome Address by Dean Academics, GNA University- Dr. Monika Hanspal followed by the Inaugural Address delivered by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. V.K. Rattan. This was followed by a brief outline of the one week FDP delivered by the convenor of the FDP, Dr. Sakshi Thakur, Assistant Professor, GNA Business School.
The first technical session of three days by Dr. Gurjeet Kaur witnessed the topics of Structure Building through AMOS, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Mediation Analysis, Common Biased Method under AMOS, Moderation Analysis. The second technical session of three days by Dr. Dheeraj Nim witnessed the topics of Model Building through Smart PLS, Mediation Analysis through Smart PLS, Moderation Analysis through Smart PLS. This was followed by hands on practice session.
A Vote of Thanks was presented by the Registrar GNA University, Dr. R.K. Mahajan in which he thanked all the University Management and the participants of the One Week FDP.
